Oh the honesty

This week I have been sick and not really myself all week, so I really feel like I haven't even been nice to my kids. In fact today I had the thought that I didn't really even like myself right now. I'm going to work on that, but when you are sick and you have to repeat yourself 5,000 times a day it gets to be a little trying. I do have a funny story for all of you first grade fans out there. One of my kids came in on Monday and gave me a bag of candy. Here's the how the conversation went.

Student: Here Ms. McKenzie, I brought this for you.

Ms. McKenzie: Oh, that is nice that you are giving me some of your Halloween candy. Most kids don't like to share their candy.

Student: I just brought you the things I don't like.


Hahaha!! I'm still laughing at that conversation. I love the honesty of the kids at this age. They totally tell you like it is. I can appreciate that!
