I have this girl in my class who has an issue with giving me personal space. She is constantly hanging on me and I HATE it! She literally comes up to my desk 20 times a day and I hardly sit there. AND she sits on the other side of the room from me. I figured that would deter her from coming up to me so many times a day. No such luck. :( Before Thanksgiving I had 2 colds back to back and I knew it was from her because she had been sick and was always by my desk (OK it could maybe have been other kids too) and I told her she wasn't allowed to hug me until she was healthy again. I thought she was going to cry, but she didn't. Then today I had a cord that separated me from where she can get to my desk. She was on her way over and I told her she wasn't allowed to cross the line. She was teary again, but seriously I can't take it anymore. I already had about 10 hugs from her before that. I know, I know, she's 6, but I need my personal space. I guess you can chalk it up to a day with mean Ms. McKenzie or Ms. Meanie. That is what I call myself when I'm not the nicest 1st grade teacher. Oh well, it will be more of the same tomorrow. 6 days. :)

Glad to see some new blogs for both you and your brother.
I love hearing your first grader stories. Don't be too tough on this little girl, though. Maybe you are the only one who hugs her back.
'bout time there was some action on the "Ms. Meanie" blog!!!!!! J/K - I am sorry that has been frustrating for you - however, maybe after your break things will be better!! Plus, it says a lot that this little girl likes you so much!!!!!!!!
